This bill could receive support in both the House and Senate in PA as it provides for extended benefits which are paid by the Federal government, except in your case. The members of the General Assembly will be hard pressed not to pass this legislation which will be advertised as free UC benefits since the Federal government will pick up the tab for the vast majority of employers. Thus, while we believe you can’t stop this bill, we believe you should contact your representatives to voice your displeasure with the bill AND the fact that it does nothing to address the greater issues facing your school districts and the ever rising costs associated with unemployment compensation benefits.
