The presentation will address when qualified immunity may apply, and the legal standards courts use to evaluate qualified immunity defenses. Attendees will gain a better understanding of how qualified immunity can arise in the context of day-to-day school district decision-making, the potential risks associated with constitutional claims, and practical considerations for limiting liability exposure.
